Ernesto Auci elected deputy

“Dear Facebook friends, I inform you that a couple of days ago I became a deputy as I took the place of a kind gentleman who preceded me on Monti's list in the 2013 elections and who suddenly passed away. Even in these exceptional circumstances e aware that the legislature is now only a few months old, I accepted to honor the commitment I had made with the voters four years ago now, and in the hope of being able to do something useful for this poor country which is going through a period of bewilderment and pessimism. I have no illusions. But you have to try!!!"

With these words published on his Facebook profile Ernesto Auci, president of the independent online newspaper FIRSTonline.info, has formalized his appointment to the Chamber of Deputies, where he takes the place of the unfortunate Maurizio Baradello, who died prematurely about ten days ago.

Auci, born in Rome 71 years ago, boasts a long career as a journalist and was in the past both director and managing director of Sole 24 Ore, as well as CEO of La Stampa, central director for external relations of Confindustria and head of information and press in the field of external relations and communication of the Fiat group. He joined the Civic Choice group, on whose list he had been elected in the constituency of Turin, and joined the Labor commission.
