Erg enters the "utilities" index

The Italian Stock Exchange communicates it. The group exits the Oil & Gas also from the point of view of the Stock Exchange classification after the industrial reconversion carried out with the exit from the oil activities and the 100% shift to renewables

Erg, the renewable energy group of the Garrone family, changes index on the Stock Exchange. From 19 December Erg changes its ICB (Industry Classification Benchmark) classification: it leaves the «Petroleum and Natural Gas» sector («Oil
& Gas») and enters «Servizi Pubblici» («Utilities»); in particular, it will be included in the «Alternative Electricity» sub-sector, thus moving from the FTSE Italia all-share «Oil & Gas» index to the «Utilities» index.

The news was announced by Borsa Italiana in a press release dated November 30th. The transition to the new classification represents the final recognition of the profound business change made in recent years by the ERG Group which today positions itself as a leading independent producer of electricity mainly from renewable sources.
