The shareholders' meeting of Erg has given the green light for the distribution of a dividend of €0,75 per share, which will be paid starting from 20 May 2020, subject to detachment of the coupon from 18 May and record date on 19 May.

The company considers the decision does not “affect the financial stability of the group in the short as well as in the medium term – reads a note – nor reduce the investment capacity in growth and development, also taking into account that the distribution policy has always been based on the compatibility of the payment of dividends with financial solidity, with a view to sustainable growth in the long term period".

For the expected effects of the coronavirus on group results, according to the CEO of Erg, Luca Bettonte, “can be considered contained, and such as not to have to modify the economic-financial expectations at the end of the year at the moment”.

The company also has confirmed the commitments on the investment programme announced on the occasion of the presentation of the results as at 31 December 2019. "Any possible delays due to the slowdown of the authorization processes and of the planned construction activities - continues the note - to date do not substantially change investment expectations".

Last year closed with a profit of 11 million euro. The Consolidated Financial Statements of the Group as at 31 December 2019 record a net result at adjusted values ​​of 104 million euros.

"In such a complex moment for the country, the company has also allocated 2 million euros to support the health system in the territories where it operates with its production sites - continues the press release - The people of Erg have also gathered in a solidarity initiative by donating 2.300 hours of one's work to the Civil Protection”.

For the first time, Erg's Shareholders' Meeting was held exclusively via telecommunication systems and was attended by a number of shareholders representing 79,4% of the share capital.
