Equitalia: watch out for scam emails

The Equitalia fake email scam is back. It was the collection company that reported it, informing them that in these days they continue to receive reports of e-mail messages with sender(s)avvida@equitalia.it, servizio@equitalia.it, noreply@equitalia.it, multe@equitalia. online, equitalia@sanzioni.it or similar, containing alleged payment notices on behalf of the "Equitalia Spa collection agent", inviting you to download files and use external links or make payments.

Equitalia has had confirmation from the Postal Police that a phishing campaign has been underway for some time, i.e. attempts to scam computers designed to illegally gain possession of confidential information.

The Equitalia Group reiterates that it is "absolutely unrelated to sending these messages" and has already filed a lawsuit against unknown persons, therefore "recommends once again not to take into account the e-mail received, to delete it without downloading any attachments and not to make payments required".

In any case, it is possible to request information from the Equitalia contact center on the single number 06 01 01 which can be reached from both a landline and a mobile phone (according to the tariff plan).
