Receiving a tax bill is never a joy, but from the next few days it will be less tiring to comply with the tax authorities. Equitalia is sending around 300 "friendly folders" to all Italian regions (excluding Sicily, where the collection company is not present), of which just under 90 in the metropolitan areas of Rome, Milan and Naples alone.
WHAT ARE THE "FRIENDLY FOLDER" OF EQUITALIA
These new tools - tested since February in Varese, Florence and Lecce - allow for automatic repayment of the debt, thus canceling the procedure imposed up to now to obtain this benefit (queuing at the counter, submitting a request to Equitalia and waiting for the response ).
HOW TO RATAISE THE DEBT
In the folders intended for taxpayers who have never activated an installment plan in the past, a form will be inserted on which the type of preferred installment can be indicated. For tax bills from 600 to 50 thousand euros, the number of possible installments ranges from 12 to 72, with a minimum amount of 50 euros per installment. The form to request the installment payment can be sent to Equitalia by certified e-mail or by registered mail.
NUMERICAL EXAMPLE
If you have to pay 3.600 euros in debt, you can pay 50 euros every month for six years, or you can choose to pay 12 installments of around 300 euros. However, we would like to remind you that each installment is net of interest and collection charges, which are equal to 3% of the sum due if the installment payment is activated within one month of notification of the folder.
