Equita: manager at 83% and IPO currency

The management of Equita takes the place left by Alessandro Profumo, who has become Leonardo's number one. The company communicated it, specifying that Profumo's shareholding will be acquired by the current management which will own 83% of Equita group, the holding company which owns 100% of the operating company. Leonardo's CEO should maintain the remaining 17 percent stake, on which there is a purchase option in favor of the management of the Milanese investment bank.

In parallel with the changes to the shareholding structure, some changes are envisaged at the governance level, among these we highlight the appointment of Francis Perilli as president of the holding company, while Andrea Vismara he will hold the position of CEO of both the SIM and the upstream financial company. In addition to the restructuring of the capital structure, some new managerial roles have also been defined.

The new organization, as communicated by Equita, has the objective of strengthening core activities as well as assessing growth opportunities in new areas such as the new Alternative Asset Management division. Following the restructuring operation the top management of Equita would be evaluating a possible IPO which would allow the valorisation of the shares held by the management and the entry of new resources aimed at strengthening the corporate business.
