Italian wind farm on a war footing over delays and the Siri case

We receive and publish a letter from Simone Togni, president of Anev in which he denounces the "serious delays in the Fer 1 decree expected from 2016". The association distances itself from the Siri-Arata affair and asks the government for a serious confrontation

The wind sector is undergoing a serious delay in issuing the Fer 1 Decree which is making Italy lose the great opportunity to relaunch the industrial sector linked to the development of renewable sources and also risks making us miss the train that must lead us to achieve the decarbonisation goal by 2030 and 2050. The negative repercussions on employment beyond that environmental and industrial due to this delay must induce the executive to make up for lost time as much as possible by putting in place a series of concrete and operational measures necessary to restart this sector. The DM Fer 1 is an implementing decree expected since 2016 (!!!) and it is unacceptable that the accumulated delay is bringing an entire sector to its knees.

If we then consider that for the wind energy sector this delay means that many ready-to-build projects run the risk of expiring and projects becoming obsolete, the seriousness of the situation is even more evident. Now need acceleration that allows to make up for lost time and it is necessary to pass from words to deeds without further delay, this is expected by the ANEV.

In such a difficult context in which the wind sector should be promoted and supported, many of the national media are focusing on events unrelated to the association and to the wind sector as a whole, which if anything di this situation is the injured party.

I'm referring to recent news events that would see an attempt to benefit an entrepreneur to the detriment of the entire sector.

ANEV has always condemned any behavior that does not have la at the center of its action transparency and legality which in our opinion must characterize any action and for this reason we have adopted over the years a extremely stringent code of ethics and a very strict Legality Protocol to which the members of the Association are required as well as rules of conduct which must guarantee transparency and which are binding for the companies operating within the Association.

Precisely the fact that, if press rumors are confirmed, an attempt has been made to favor a company and not a sector is the confirmation that only through the official proposals that a serious trade association can present to institutional interlocutors through official channels , you are guaranteed not to take action in favor of a single entrepreneur but to support a strategic industrial sector for the growth of the country.

We believe that even more from this episode we must therefore draw the lesson that the intermediate bodies must be privileged interlocutors since only serious and representative trade associations can guarantee that they provide solutions and proposals that are the mediation of partisan interests and therefore identify and defend the general interests of a sector. These considerations should lead even more to identify in the Associations representing the various sectors, serious and reliable interlocutors to turn to for the orderly development of industrial sectors in our country.
