On the occasion of International day for the elimination of violence against women On November 25, Enilive and the DonneXStrada association launched a practical guide to raise public awareness and provide useful tools against gender violence. Entitled “It concerns you! A practical guide against gender violence“, this initiative aims to reach the general public, using both digital and the widespread network of Enilive service stations as diffusion channels.
The Guide: A Support for Recognizing and Fighting Violence
The guide It concerns you! was created by DonneXStrada with the support of Enilive and offers advice and concrete tools to deal with situations of violence of which one is a victim, of which one becomes aware or which one witnesses. The aim is to promote a greater awareness of the signs and on the dynamics of gender violence, explaining its multiple forms and the contexts in which it can manifest itself, and providing useful tools to combat it. The guide also includes references to psychological, legal and medical support, as well as useful contacts for emergency situations.
Widespread distribution through service stations
To ensure massive diffusion, Enilive has made available over 3.000 service stations throughout Italy, where it will be possible to access the guide through QR codes placed on various information materials, from refueling terminals to point-of-sale screens. A dedicated campaign will also be broadcast on Radio Enilive Station, reaching both the external and internal areas of Eni Cafés. This multi-channel approach aims to spread the contents to a wide audience, raising awareness among people in a widespread way.
In addition to the dissemination of the guide, the project includes a path of training for station managers Enilive, who will be trained on how to recognize and manage episodes of violence. About 1.000 managers have already participated in the training, which will end in March 2025, in a commitment to making service stations not only refueling points, but also places of support and awareness.
Statements and social commitment
Stefano Ballista, CEO of Enilive, explained that this collaboration with DonneXStrada represents an act of social responsibility, stating: “We decided to ally ourselves with DonneXStrada because, to stem the phenomenon of violence against women, measures and initiatives are never enough and because we think that our widespread presence on the streets of all of Italy can contribute to the dissemination of the important information that the association has collected in this guide and which is now available to everyone.”
The Ilaria Saliva, President of DonneXStrada, underlined the value of the initiative, declaring: “In a world often dominated by indifference, we choose to be the difference. Building and spreading tools to escape violence is a mission that, as the DonneXStrada association, we have made our own for three years now.”
A contribution to change
The initiative between Enilive and DonneXStrada represents a joint commitment model between business and non-profit organizations for the promotion of social change. Through the guide It concerns you! and the training of managers, this partnership shows how the corporate network can become a tool to support fundamental social battles, offering information and support against gender violence. The guide is available for free download on Eni website.
