The organizational reorganization of Eni's Gas & Power sector begins. Following the decision of the Board of Directors, the Optimization & Trading department takes the name of Midstream department and the new Downstream Gas&Power department is established. The Downstream Gas&Power department, in which Eni's CEO Paolo Scaroni assumes the interim position, becomes responsible for the development in Italy and abroad of the retail and mid-gas & power commercial activities, as well as for the generation of electricity.
The Midstream management, headed by Marco Alverà, oversees commodity trading activities, supply and optimization of the oil & gas portfolio, sales on the wholesale gas & power markets, midstream LNG commercial activities and commodity transport. Following the reorganisation, the activities of the Gas & Power division converge in the directions indicated.
