Eni suspends the evaluation of the options on the investment in Saipem. Here is what the press release issued today by the six-legged dog states: “Last July Eni announced the adoption of a new organizational structure even more focused on the oil & gas business. In this context, the investment in Saipem was defined as no longer functional to the pursuit of the group's strategic objectives".
“Following this decision – continues the note -, the evaluation of a series of options was started, with the contribution of a financial advisor. Market conditions have recently become unstable and therefore, while confirming this strategy, the evaluation of the options has been suspended”. Today Eni closed the session in Piazza Affari recording a drop of 0,62% a 14,38 euro.
