With a view to a previously announced massive buy-back to support the stock in Piazza Affari, in the space of four days Eni recovered almost 1 million of its own shares. In detail, between 20 and 24 January 2014, the Italian oil giant purchased 955 thousand of its own shares, at an average price of 17,3667 euros per share, for a total value of 16,59 million euros.

With this transaction, considering the treasury shares already held, as at 24 January 2014 Eni held 13.963.287 treasury shares equal to 0,38% of the share capital.

In Milan, the stock lost more than half a percentage point around 17 pm, at 16,8 euros. The weekly performance of the share is at -2,88%.
