Eni joins forces with the Chinese CNPC

The relationship between the six-legged dog and China National Petroleum Corporation is strengthened – Joint projects and future opportunities are also planned to be able to expand its activities in all areas of the energy sector.

Eni concluded on Wednesday a cooperation agreement with China National Petroleum Corporation, an oil company owned by the Chinese government through the commission that manages state-owned companies. 

The new partnership will help Eni expand its activities in the oil and gas exploration and production sectors abroad. Eni will also handle trading and logistics, refining and petrochemicals. 

The signing of the agreement came on the sidelines of the meeting between the president of the Chinese company, Wang Yilin, and Eni's CEO Claudio Descalzi.
