Eni discovers new well for oil, natural gas and condensates production in Ghana

After Pakistan, Eni discovered an "oil" well, precisely in the Offshore Cape Three Points (Octp) block located in the Tano Basin, in the Offshore of Ghana, fifty kilometers off the coast.

In a note, Eni reveals that the discovery is significant since it would lead to commercial development and also confirms the presence of oil, natural gas and condensates.

Eni is planning further drilling of other wells to outline the size of the discovery and confirm the possibility of commercial development.

The discovery, continues Eni, was made through the Sankofa East-1X well, drilled in 825 meters of water and in a total depth of 3.650 meters, encountering 28 meters of gas and condensate mineralized sands and a total of 76 meters of sands mineralized at oil.

This well, during a production test, has already produced 5 barrels of oil per day.
