Eni, Scaroni: "On buyback decision by autumn"

“The Eni board must decide on the buyback hypothesis, which I believe will meet in February. By the autumn, which ends on December 21st, we will let our intentions be known”. This is what Paolo Scaroni, managing director of the Eni group, limited himself to explaining regarding the treasury share purchase program by the six-legged dog group.

Meanwhile, the government has not yet decided on a possible sale of approximately 4% of Eni, arguing that for the moment there are only hypotheses. This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development, Flavio Zanonato, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Eni Green Data Center. "No decisions have been taken, these are hypotheses on which we are discussing, absolutely nothing has been decided," said Zanonato.

In the mid-morning, Eni's stock in Piazza Affari gained almost 1% to 18,01 euros per share.
