Eni, Scaroni: "Producing hydrocarbons to get out of the crisis"

Producing hydrocarbons to get out of the crisis. It is the recipe of Paolo Scaroni, who spoke during the inaugural session of the WTO in Ravenna in front of, among others, the oil ministers of Iraq and Egypt. A recipe, that of Eni's CEO, which however collides with the considerable difficulties of obtaining permits for extractions, also due to the decision of the previous Berlusconi government to move the limit for offshore exploration from 5 to 12 miles .

Scaroni expressed his optimism regarding relations between ENI and the countries of North Africa: “In Egypt and Algeria, countries which have not undergone changes like in other countries, we have not lost a single barrel of production. On Egypt I am positive about the future”. As for Libya, after the one-year production block, Eni's number one sees "the situation improving: there are fewer weapons on the streets, more order, more desire to start again. I see the future of our presence in these countries as a future that will be able to repeat previous successes”.
