Saipem sets course for Iraq. The plant engineering company of the Eni group has been awarded a maxi contract worth 342,4 million euros for the expansion of the Basra oil port, the main hydrocarbon terminal in the south of the Middle Eastern country.

"The council of ministers has approved the attribution of a project to expand infrastructure for exports in the south to the Italian company Saipem", reads a statement from the spokesman for the Baghdad government, Ali Dabbagh.
