Eni: the project dedicated to sustainable companies restarts

Return for the second edition Human Knowledge Lab. This is the initiative of Joule, the school of Eni for business, aimed at all those particularly innovative business ideas in the fields of decarbonisation, the circular economy and the fight against climate change through the application of robotics, IoT, and artificial intelligence technologies and innovative materials with application to sectors transversal, not just the energy one.

In particular, HK Lab is a itinerant and thematic pre-incubation path launched in collaboration with LVenture Group, and involves a full-time 7-day commitment. The application phase will close on 10 January 2022 and the second stage will start in February at the Kilometro Rosso Innovation District headquarters in Bergamo.

The route unfolds in several stages during the year (the first was held in September 2021 at the Eni headquarters in Castel Gandolfo), each of which sees the participants compete in a specific challenge that allows the most deserving and innovative project to win a incubation path provided through PoliHub, the Innovation Park & Startup Accelerator of the Politecnico di Milano and personalized mentorship programs.

Furthermore, the two best projects will be able to access a package of personalized Eni services through Energizer, Joule's business accelerator, which will provide advice based on the business needs of individual teams.

During the Idea Validation topics such as market analysis and the identification of the reference target will be dealt with; the validation and realization of the prototype of the idea; the study of the acquisition channels and the first market tests; the validation of the business concept and the definition of a development roadmap.

Furthermore, the program includes a remote preparatory phase and a path for the development of transversal skills and soft skills, developed in an integrated way and consistent with the contents of the program created by the Eni school.

Finally, contributions from the founders of the startups in the LVenture Group portfolio, internal Eni experts and external experts from the innovation ecosystem, Business Schools and academic contexts of excellence will alternate throughout the process.
