Formula 1, sustainable mobility and decarbonisation of the transport sector: these are the key themes of the partnership signed between Eni and Renault GroupThe multi-year agreement marks the return of the “Six-Legged Dog” in the world of motor racing, after the last collaboration with Benetton in 2000. Eni it will indeed be Official Energy and Fuel Partner of BWT Alpine Formula One Team, a team of the Renault group.

The two companies will join forces to explore and develop opportunities in various fields, including the creation of electric mobility infrastructure, smart mobility solutions and innovative energy technologies, with the aim of accelerating the transition to a low-emission future.

Eni returns to F1: a showcase for innovation

The agreement between Eni and BWT Alpine Formula One Team includes the fuel supply and active involvement of Eni during the 2025 Formula 1 season, consisting of 24 Grands Prix. The Eni branding will be visible on the new Alpine A525 single-seater, as well as on the pilots' suits and helmets.

The partnership goes beyond simple brand visibility: Eni will also be present at the pit stops and an integral part of the entire Alpine team ecosystem. A key aspect of this collaboration is theJoint analysis for the development of innovative biofuels, intended for top-level motor racing. Formula 1, renowned for being a laboratory of innovation, represents the ideal field for testing new technologies which could subsequently also be applied to daily mobility.

The two companies will work together to explore joint development opportunities, strengthening the industry's transformation process.

Un concrete result of this collaboration is the purchase, by Enjoy, Eni's car sharing service, of Renault vehicles, a significant step towards promoting more sustainable mobility solutions.
