Eni: new discovery offshore Congo

New discovered offshore Congo for Eni. The group of the six-legged dog announced, in a press release, that it had made a gas and condensate discovery in the Nkala Marine exploration prospect, located in Block Marine XII, about 20 kilometers from the Congolese coast and 3 kilometers from the field, already in production, by Nenè Marine.

The discovery, made through the Nkala Marine 1 well, is estimated to have a potential of approx 250-300 million barrels of oil equivalent in place.

Eni will start the evaluation phase of Nkala Marine through new delineation wells. At the same time, together with the partners of the joint venture, the company will start studies for its commercial development framed in the context of an optimized exploitation of the oil and gas discoveries of the Marine XII permit.

The news, however, does not shake analysts given that this morning Eni's stock travels in negative territory in Piazza Affari. In fact, at 12,35 Eni's prices fell by 0,47% compared to the opening in the morning.
