New oil discovery for Eni offshore Angola. The Ochigufu 1 NFW well, which led to the discovery, explains the Six-legged Dog, "will be brought into production in record time and is located 150 kilometers from the coast and 9,8 kilometers from the Ngoma FPSO, making it possible to increase the of resources that can be produced by the West Hub project, under construction". The data acquired in the well indicate a production capacity of over 5.000 barrels of oil per day.

“This important discovery, which can be produced in record time – commented Claudio Descalzi, CEO of Eni – adds further value to Block 15/06. Like the recent discoveries in Congo and Gabon, it demonstrates the results that can be achieved by applying new technologies to exploration and confirms the decision to refocus the company on the core competencies of oil and gas”.

In the morning, Eni's share on the Stock Exchange gains 1%, a 18,93 euro.
