Eni, in support of its decarbonization objectives, has long chosen to actively collaborate with the most interesting international start-ups and scale-ups. There are 44 European companies that have an "innovation outpost" in the Silicon Valley. The purposes? Intercept technological and market trends, accelerate the development of prototypes and innovative business models, as well as identify strategic partners with whom to initiate commercial agreements or make investments/acquisitions.

Italy now has three stations, (Eni, Luxottica and Enel). “Companies that decide to open an innovation outpost in Silicon Valley can benefit from a privileged observatory on the number one ecosystem in the world where all next big things", commented Alberto Onetti, President of Mind the Bridge.

The Mind the Bridge Foundation (MtB) is a non-profit initiative born in 2007 from an idea of Marco Marinucci, manager of Google. The Foundation's mission is to promote a sustainable, ethical, highly professional entrepreneurial ecosystem in Italy, open to internationalization and based on merit and excellence. To this end, Mind the Bridge is financed by foundations, companies, businesses and donors and works in partnership with the most significant players in the system while maintaining absolute autonomy of action.

Eni's open innovation outpost, hosted at the innovation center of Mind the Bridge, is located in the most prolific and effervescent center of attraction for start-ups in the world; not surprisingly, according to a recent research, more than 300 of the Fortune 500 companies have decided to establish a permanent presence here.
