Eni-Gazprom: Descalzi-Miller meeting in Moscow

It seems that, for the first time, the number one of the Russian energy giant has referred to possible collaborations with Saipem – It cannot be excluded that yesterday's meeting is a prelude to a phase of renegotiation of contracts, which may no longer be considered sustainable in the light of new oil prices.

Eni-Gazprom: Descalzi-Miller meeting in Moscow

Eni's CEO, Claudio Descalzi, met Gazprom's number one, Alexey Miller, yesterday in Moscow to talk about the collapse in oil prices, gas supplies and the future of Saipem. Corriere della Sera writes today, recalling that the six-legged dog is the largest international customer company of the Russian giant, with which it intends to continue collaborating on the Italian and European gas market.

It seems that, for the first time, Miller has referred to possible collaborations with Saipem, the plant engineering company of the Eni group.

On the other hand, it is likely that the two managers also spoke about the sustainability of the gas supply contracts in the light of the new crude oil prices. It cannot be ruled out that yesterday's meeting is a prelude to a phase of renegotiation of contracts.
