In Rome the car sharing goes electric. Enjoy, Mark Eni Sustainable Mobility, introduced in the Capital a fleet of 100 new zero-emission city cars. The new cars, recognizable by their distinctive lime green colour, will join the existing fleet of around 800 cars and cargo vehicles to which another 100 electric cars will be added later.
The introduction of electric city cars in Rome will combine i advantages of electric mobility with the convenience of car sharing free floating. This system allows customers to start and end rentals anywhere within the service coverage areas, without the need for pre-defined pick-up or return points. Enjoy will take care of recharging electric vehicles, ensuring that new city cars are available with at least a 30% charged battery.
Eni Sustainable Mobility's electric fleet is already present in other Italian cities: Milan, Turin, Bologna and Florence.
Xev Yoyo: Enjoy's electric city car
Le Xev Yoyo electric city cars are the new vehicles of the Enjoy fleet in Rome. These fully electric cars have a maximum speed of 80 km / h and a range of up to 150 km. Xev Yoyos feature a panoramic roof and are small and agile, making them the ideal car for getting around historic city centres. As far as refueling is concerned, in addition to traditional charging at charging stations and at home, the Xev Yoyos are equipped with a battery swapping system. This means that flat batteries can be replaced with charged ones in minutes. Some Eni service stations in Rome are already equipped to offer this service.
The Xev Yoyos in the Enjoy fleet are supplied through a long-term rental service offered by Sifa (Società Italiana Flotte Aziendali – Gruppo Bper Banca).
Enjoy: in Rome since 2014, 9 million rentals made in the city
Enjoy is present in Rome since 2014 making car sharing for citizens of the capital a popular mobility solution and an alternative to the use of private vehicles. In recent years there have been over 9 million rentals made in the city. Using Enjoy cars in Rome offers advantages such as free parking on the blue lines andaccess to Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL). Furthermore, Enjoy provides free access to Enjoy Parking, available at some Eni service stations in the coverage area, and offers the option of dedicated paid parking, for example at the Roma Termini station.

Enjoy counts over 1,5 million customers in Italy and has made 30 million rentals from 2013 to the present. With a total fleet of around 3.000 vehicles, Enjoy is present in the cities of Milan, Turin, Bologna, Florence and Rome. The arrival of the new vehicles in Rome completes the implementation of electric vehicles in all cities where the car sharing service is active.
How Enjoy works
How Enjoy works is simple. To rent a vehicle, it is need to download the app available on Android, iOS or Huawei. After registering, users can search, view and book available vehicles nearby or in the area of interest. It is also possible to rent an Enjoy vehicle along the way by entering the license plate number and the code visible on the car's windscreen in the app. Once the vehicle has been reached and unlocked, the entire rental is managed via smartphone up to the destination. At the end of the trip, you can view a summary of the costs incurred for the rental.
Le rental rates of Enjoy vehicles are available online. For electric city cars, as well as for the other vehicles in the fleet, the rate is €0,29 per minute, with a fixed cost of €1,00 for unlocking the vehicle at the start of the rental.
