Eni and Rosneft, cooperation agreement

The agreement was signed in Soci in the presence of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the Italian Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni.

The Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, and the Chief Executive Officer of Eni, Claudio Descalzi, today signed a Cooperation Agreement that will allow the two companies to cooperate in the Exploration & Production sectors, in the refining, trading, logistics and marketing, petrochemical and technology and innovation sectors, both in Russia and abroad. The agreement was signed in Soci in the presence of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the Italian Prime Minister, Paolo Gentiloni.

Today's meeting further consolidates the agreements already signed previously for the joint development of exploration activities in the Black Sea and the Barents Sea and lays the foundations for further opportunities between the two companies, including the collaboration in the Zohr field. As for the downstream, the parties will evaluate the use of Eni proprietary technologies for the processing of heavy oil residues in the Rosneft refineries and cooperation in refining activities at the refineries where Eni and Rosneft hold shares.
