Eni, two new contracts in Indonesia

The first for the Arguni I block, located onshore and offshore in the Bintuni basin – The second in the North Ganal block, in the province of Kalimantan, on the Kutei basin.

Eni, two new contracts in Indonesia

New exotic orders for Eni. The Italian energy giant has been awarded two exploration and production sharing contracts in Indonesia. In particular, in the eastern region of Papua West Province, the six-legged dog company will operate in the Arguni I block (5.386 square kilometres), located onshore and offshore in the Bintuni basin.

The block is located 10 km east of the Tangguh Liquefaction Plant. In the province of Kalimantan, on the other hand, in the Kutei basin, Eni was awarded the contract for the North Ganal block (2432 square kilometres) in consortium with Niko Resources Ltd., North Ganal Energy Ltd (wholly owned subsidiary of Black Platinum Energy Ltd), Statoil Indonesia North Ganal AS and GDF SUEZ.

Eni, present in Indonesia since 2001, holds 14 permits in the country, of which 8 as operator, located in the oil fields of Tarakan and Kutei (Eastern Borneo), North Sumatra and West Timor.
