Eni launches three oil and gas plants in Iraq

Eni starts up three oil and gas treatment plants in Iraq. Today, together with the South Korean partners of Kogas, the Italian energy group inaugurated, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Petroleum of Iraq Fayadh Hassan Nima and other representatives of the Iraqi government, three new state-of-the-art plants for the treatment of oil, gas and water from the Zubair field, in the southern part of the country.

With the addition of these new plants, located in the Hammar area (4 trains for a total capacity of 200 barrels per day), Zubair and Rafydia (with a capacity of 50 barrels per day each), the treatment capacity of Zubair's oil and gas rises to approx 650 thousand barrels per day.

In addition to treatment operations, these plants have a water injection capacity of 300 barrels per day, which will be instrumental in increasing Zubair's hydrocarbon production.
