Eni, gas sale agreement to Japan and South Korea

Eni signed a trilateral agreement with Korea Gas Corporation of Korea and Chubu Electric Power Company of Japan for the sale of 28 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG), equal to 1,7 million tons, in the period 2013-2017. This was communicated in a note by the group led by Paolo Scaroni.

Under this agreement, which represents the first joint purchase agreement between Japan and South Korea, the LNG cargoes will be procured from Eni's global portfolio. The agreement adds to the contract signed last year for the sale of 49 loads of LNG for the Japanese market, equal to 3,3 million tons.

By mid-morning, Eni's stock traded against the trend of the Ftse Mib, gaining about half a point.
