Francesco Bonfiglio is the new Chief Executive Officer of Engineering.mo SpA, the company which controls the 4 data centers of the Engineering group and which guarantees the operations of over 350 customers distributed throughout Italy and internationally. Bonfiglio joins Engineering with the aim of enriching and making the portfolio of services that Engineering.mo offers visible to the market to best support customers in the digital transformation.
“Today customers are fully aware of the potential that the cloud can enable, but also that this is a means and not the end” declares Bonfiglio “companies like Engineering, decided years ago not to divest, but rather to develop its data centers are today the only ones capable of combining the strategy with the elements of concreteness and speed of implementation, necessary for the digital transformation required by all customers".
With over 30 years of experience, Bonfiglio has led service, application and infrastructure organizations in strategic roles of transformation and focus across digital innovation and the cloud. Vice President for Avanade, Managing Director of the Accenture group, Chief Technology Officer for HP EMEA, Software Factory Director for Unisys, Technical Director for Rational Software: these are just some of the executive roles in his professional career. There are also many industrial and market contexts in which he has operated: from the Military to Manufacturing, Publishing, Fashion, Oil & Gas.
Among the strategic priorities of the newly appointed CEO, the transformation of Engineering.mo into the Digital Platform of Engineering Services. Many initiatives have already been implemented which, leveraging existing assets and skills, expand the portfolio with innovative solutions of Flexible Capacity, Hybrid Cloud, Edge Computing, Digital End User Services, Digital Back-Office.
