Energy, agreement on the employment contract: 120 euros over three years

Energy, agreement overnight on the renewal of the employment contract for over 40.000 employees in the sector. After almost 9 months of negotiations, the hypothesis of an agreement for the renewal of the contract from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2021 in the energy and oil sector was signed between Confindustria-Energia and the trade unions Filctem-Cgil, Femca-Cisl, Uiltec-Uil .

The new contract affects employees of 34 companies, including the Eni Group, Snam Rete Gas, Saipem, Esso, Lukoil, Saras, which expired on 31 December 2018. The details of the agreement were provided by the unions: the overall increase ( Tec), according to the dictates of the interconfederal agreement on bargaining dated 9 March 2018, will be 120 euros over the three-year period. The agreement provides for an average increase on the minimums (TEM) of 90 euros divided into 3 tranches divided as follows: 25 euros from October 2019; 35 euros from October 2020; 30 euros from July 2021.

The novelty contained in the model is the introduction of the EDR (Distinguished element of remuneration) in two tranches: 15 euros from January 2020; 10 euros from January 2021.

The signed agreement envisages the application of the interconfederal agreement on bargaining, signed on 9 March 2018, and that the phase of verifying the deviations linked to inflation takes into account the sector performance scenarios guaranteeing wage balances. The agreement also envisages that at the end of the contractual term there will be a meeting to carry out an overall check between planned and actual inflation, however taking into account the overall trend of the sector. In terms of contractual welfare, increases are also envisaged in the 'Fondenergia' supplementary pension (5 euro).

“I am satisfied – commented the secretary of Filctem Cgil Marco Falcinelli – for two specific reasons: the first we connected the salary and economic trend to the trend of the sector; the second, no less important, we reconfirmed our contractual model and the application of the interconfederal agreement of March 2018”
