New agreement between Enel X and Lucart to make production sites less expensive and more sustainable. The Tuscan multinational – paper group known for its brands tenderly, Thanks Natural e All Paper Cloth – has chosen Enel X, the global business line of the Enel Group, to accelerate the process of increasing the energy efficiency of climate-changing emissions from production plants. The first step will be installing a photovoltaic system from 3 MWp in the Diecimo plant, in the province of Lucca, which will generate over 3 GWh per year of renewable energy and the consequent reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere equal to 1.160 tons per year.

In detail, the activities that Enel X will launch at the Tuscan multinational's plants will affect various aspects of the company's production chain. In the future, the installation of further plants for the production of green energy is also foreseen.

Furthermore, integrated solutions dedicated to companies in the paper supply chain and related industries are also being studied, concerning distributed generation, flexibility, energy efficiency, decarbonisation and sustainable mobility.

Massimo Pasquini, CEO of the Lucart group: “What we will build in our Diecimo plant will be one of the largest private plants ever installed in Tuscany”.
