15 minutes net for a full tank of electricity for your car. This is the performance guaranteed by the Enel X charging station, inaugurated today in Rome by the mayor Virginia Rages. It is an initiative of Enel and of Volkswagen Group Italy.
Thanks to the columns HPC (High Power Charging), all cars capable of absorbing up to 350 kW, will be able to enjoy this innovation within the Municipality of Rome.
With the birth of the first Enel X Store of this type, installed a Course France, 212, the "Ultra Fast" refill project will be launched to be installed slowly throughout Italy.
In detail, the first urban area in Italy for ultra-fast charging boasts four 350 kW direct current HPC stations, an alternating current JuicePole column with two 22 kW points and a JuiceMedia, a maxi-screen that incorporates two in AC. However, the latter are dedicated only to test drive cars.
Yes, because among the activities that will animate this 4.0 service station there will also be the possibility to try the growing full electric range of all the Volkswagen Group brands on a rotational basis.
"Participating in this initiative is a choice consistent with our choice at a global level, we have made gigantic investments for the mobility of the future", underlines the CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia, Massimo Nordio, noting that "if you want to be a leader, one of your responsibilities is to team up to create an ecosystem". For Nordio, HPC columns are "a fundamental keystone", because thanks to the very short recharging times, they bring the user experience closer to traditional refueling.
“They respond to needs that were unsatisfied until recently” – he points out Francesco Venturini, CEO of Enel X – “those who don't have the possibility of recharging in the garage or in the office can fill up here in no time”.
In addition to the possibility of test drives, this first Enel X Store aims to offer motorists other opportunities as well. There is bar with different locations to comfortably spend the time interval for charging, but also a PointYou can, where a series of operations can be carried out such as the payment of bills.
And finally, it is possible to get to know and try out Enel X's technologies and ecosystem of products, not only for electric mobility such as juice box, but also solutions for the smart home or such as the balcony photovoltaic system. And in the future, the promise is to activate more and more entertainment services for those who recharge.
