Enel wins three awards at the Procurement Awards

The energy group was recognized in the Best Negotiation Practices, Competence development and Purchasing People categories.

Enel received the 2019 Procurement Award for the Best Negotiation Practices, Competence development and Purchasing People categories. The recognition is assigned by "The Procurement", an Italian company of analysis and peer networking in the procurement and supply chain sector, the award ceremony was held in Milan in the national museum of science and technology "Leonardo da Vinci".  

“We are proud of this result which recognizes our commitment to innovate and redesign all purchasing processes worldwide” said Salvatore Bernabei Head of Global Procurement of the Enel Group. “Enel confirms itself as a leading company in terms of quality and innovation also in Procurement activities. Our function is experiencing a profound change, in which its role and the methods of interaction with stakeholders are rethought and rebuilt from the ground up with the aim of improving and contributing to company results. A transformation, inspired by the Enel Open Power vision”.  

The Global Procurement Team has set ambitious goals: to introduce a new supplier relationship model and take on a central role for the Group's business, maximizing the value it creates for the company through a set of advanced tools and improving end-to-end experience of its key stakeholders. The Procurement Transformation has taken advantage of the broader Digital Transformation underway in the Enel Group, focusing on greater transparency, speed of performance and better user experience. 

The awarding of the three awards takes place one week after the World Procurement Awards, the event organized every year in London by the Procurement Leaders, the best-known procurement and peer networking company, in which Enel distinguished itself by arriving as a finalist in the best procurement category team.
