Enel and Leonardo push Piazza Affari, oil rally

European stock markets ahead slowly, despite the sharp rise in Asian markets and Wall Street. Milano it rises by 0,5% and the Ftse Mib index travels above 22.400 points. Madrid, the only place in the red yesterday, recovers 0,7%. Flat Paris (-0,03%), brakes Frankfurt (-0,4%), the most lively market at the start of the week. Advance London (+0,3%), pending positive developments in the Brexit negotiations with the European Union.

Spotlight on tonight Fed meeting minutes of early November. Meanwhile Janet Yellen, speaking in New York, reiterated that she did not understand why inflation continues to be so low, to the point of suspecting that prices could remain low for years to come. But the outgoing central bank president nonetheless said the Fed was reasonably close to its goals and should continue to hike rates gradually.

Help could come from the prices of Petroleum. One week before the OPEC summit in Vienna, Brent is trading at 63,3 dollars a barrel, up 1,1%, close to the highs of the last two years, on the bet of a decline in US inventories which will be communicated in the day.

The Eurostoxx index of European energy stocks stands out with a gain of 0,5% together with the utility index (+0,6%). Eni earn 0,7%. Tenaris + 0,40% Saipem + 0.11%.

On the swing in Piazza Affari Carige Bank, on the starting day of the capital increase (60 new shares for every 1 held). Shares and rights failed to price at the opening and then traded for a few seconds, respectively marking a rise of 6,5% and a fall of 3,7%. Subsequently, the shares also turned red. The uncovered part of the increase, excluding the guarantees from shareholders and the consortium, is 135 million.

Valtellinese credit -5%. In view of the 700 million euro capital increase, contacts are underway to create a guarantee syndicate, Reuters wrote yesterday evening. Full support for the industrial plan has already arrived from the main shareholders.

Monte dei Paschi Bank +2,4%. Today is the deadline for the presentation of the lists for the Board of Directors in view of the meeting on 19 December. the Treasury aims to confirm the CEO Marco Morelli and the president Alessandro Falciai.

On positive ground the other institutes: Unicredit + 0,9% Understanding + 0,6% Where's Banca +0,3%. Unchanged Bpm bank.

The collection of proxies by Fininvest starts today through the proxy adviser Georgeson, with the aim of creating a majority sufficient to pass, in the extraordinary meeting Mediaset (-0,3%) on December 15th, the proposal for statutory changes to ensure that decisions in the Board of Directors are taken by limiting Vivendi's weight.

In the meantime, the negotiation with Telecom (+0,2%), which could buy free-to-air content for the platform from the Biscione.

Enel +1,13% to 5,42 euros, new records: broker promotions flocked afterwards the industrial plan.

Leonardo +3,5%. For Natixis analysts, the vertical drop in prices after the profit warning (the stock has lost a third of its value) is an opportunity to be exploited. The broker raised its rating to Buy from Neutral with a target price lowered to 13 euros from 14 euros. The potential upside is around +25%.

Slow down instead stm (-1%). The Philadelphia Semiconductor index, the benchmark for the chip industry, closed up 1,1%, a new all-time high, on Thursday evening. Since the beginning of the year the index gains 47%.

Among the mid/small caps, Astaldi + 3% Technological investments + 2,6% FieraMilano + 2,3% December + 2%. Digitouch (+2%) announced this morning that the subsidiary Audiens has integrated into Facebook. Audiens customers will be able to transfer action and event data online/offline.
