Enel green power wins in Peru

Enel Green Power enters the Peruvian market. The Enel group company, through its subsidiary Enel Green Power Peru, was awarded the right to stipulate twenty-year energy supply contracts for 126 MW of wind, 180 MW of photovoltaic and 20 MW of hydroelectric following the tender for renewable energies launched by the Peruvian government through the energy regulator Osinergmin. With 326 MW awarded in the tender, Enel Green Power will become by 2018 the main operator of renewables in Peru and the only company to operate with plants in three different renewable technologies in the country, explains a press release from the group.

For the construction of the plants, which are expected to start operating by 2018, the company will invest approximately 400 million dollars, in line with the investments outlined in the plan.
