Triggering the purchases was the news that Enel's subsidiary Green Power North America is up to 75% stake in Chisholm View and Prairie Rose wind farms

In detail, the company has signed an agreement to acquire from the subsidiaries of Ge Capital, Efs Chisholm and Efs Prairie Rose, a further 26% of class A shares of both Chisholm View Wind Project and Prairie Rose Wind Project, companies that manage respectively the Chisholm View wind farm and the Prairie Rose wind farm. The first operation is worth about 47 million dollars, the second 34 million. 

Enel Green Power North America will therefore hold 75% of the Class A shares of both companies that manage the wind farms, while the Ge Capital subsidiaries will retain 25%.

“The full consolidation of the Chisholm View and Prairie Rose wind farms will bring EGP's installed capacity in North America to over 1,6 GW, thus confirming our commitment to further grow in this important market, across all technologies,” he commented. the CEO of Enel Green Power, Francesco Starace.
