Enel Green Power, new wind farm in Oklahoma

Enel Green Power, through its subsidiary Enel Green Power North America, has started work on the construction of a new wind farm in Oklahoma, USA. The Little Elk wind farm, located in Kiowa and Washita counties, next to the Rocky Ridge wind farm (150 MW), with a total installed capacity of 74 MW, will be able to generate, once operational, up to 330 GWh per year, equivalent to the consumption needs of over 27 American families, thus avoiding the emission of more than 150 tonnes of CO2 per year.

The construction of the wind farm will require a total investment of 130 million dollars. The plant, which is scheduled to come on stream by the end of the year, is associated with a 25-year contract for the purchase of the energy that will be produced with the People's Electric Cooperative of Oklahoma. Currently, Enel Green Power North America operates three wind farms in Oklahoma with a total installed capacity of over 534 MW. In addition, the company currently has an additional 350 MW of wind under construction in the state, including the Goodwell project (200 MW). TO Business Square, after the news, the Enel Green Power share is on par at 1,773 euros (+0,06%).
