Enel Green Power, completed plant in Brazil

An installed capacity of 30 MW capable of generating over 145 million KWh per year. These are the numbers of the plant completed by Enel Green Power in the Cristal wind farm in Brazil, in Bahia, in the town of Morro do Chapéu.
São Judas, this is the name, is made up of 13 wind turbines of 2,3 MW each. This is the second plant to be completed of the three belonging to the Cristal wind farm, for a total installed capacity of 90 MW and an expected production of over 400 million kWh per year.

The creation of the Cristal complex required a total investment of approximately 165 million Euros. With the new wind farm, Enel Green Power in Brazil will reach an installed capacity of more than 207 MW, of which 93 MW is hydroelectric.
Enel Green Power thus strengthens its presence in the promising renewable market in Brazil, one of the first countries in the world for the production of "clean" energy thanks to over 98 MW of installed renewable capacity, which represents approximately 85% of the total installed in the country.

Enel's renewable energy company was recently awarded 11 MW of solar energy in the country, in addition to the 503 MW of wind and hydroelectric power won by the group in Brazilian public tenders in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. Also in the photovoltaic sector, Enel Green Power is also building a 1,2 MW thin-film plant that will supply part of the energy needed for the construction works of the three hydroelectric plants Salto Apiacás, Cabeza de Boi and Fazenda, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso.
