Enel Green Power launches maxi wind plant in France

The largest wind farm built in France by Enel Green Power starts today in Coulonges. The new park will consist of 18 turbines of 2 megawatts each and was built in the municipalities of Coulonges-Thouarsais, La Chapelle-Gaudin, Noirterre and in the department of Deux Se'vres (Poitou-Charentes).
Thanks to its annual production of 90 million kWh, the plant will satisfy the consumption of almost 27 thousand families. “With Coulonges, our largest plant in France – said Francesco Starace, CEO of Enel Green Power – we confirm our goal of strengthening and increasing our presence in such a promising market for renewables as the French one, leveraging our extensive skills that embrace all the technologies of the sector, from hydroelectric and geothermal to wind, solar and biomass”.

With Coulonges, Enel Green Power's total installed capacity in France reaches 138 MW, with production of approximately 300 million kWh per year.
