Enel enters the Stoxx 50 and completes increase in South America

Enel, the first Italian company by market capitalization ahead of ENI, enters the Stoxx 50, the index of the top 50 European companies and completes the capital increase in Latin America

Enel hit two goals: complete successfully the capital increase of Enel Americas and enter the Stoxx 50, the stock market index which includes the 50 main listed companies in Europe.

Enel, which on the Milan Stock Exchange has recorded a 40% increase since the beginning of the year, has in fact achieved a market capitalization of almost 68 billion euros, which projected it into the Olympus of Stoox 50. Today Francesco Starace's Enel, which has overtaken ENI in the standings, is the first Italian group by market value and the first in the utilities sector in Europe.

Meanwhile, yesterday Enel Americas has concluded a capital increase for a total amount of 3 billion dollars, offered as an option to members. The increase, according to a note, was subscribed for a total of 99,49%.

Upon conclusion of the transaction, Enel increases its stake in the capital of Enel Americas to 57,19% from the previous 56,8 percent.
