Enel: Endesa, profit of 1,2 billion in the first nine months of 2015

Enel's Spanish subsidiary recorded results in line with those of the previous year, despite the sale of the activities in Latin America to the parent company – Adjusted profit up 62,7% on an annual basis – The extraordinary shareholders' meeting convened on December 18 South American subsidiaries of Enel.

The first nine months of the year are archived Endesa. The Spanish electricity group, controlled by Enel, recorded a very slight decrease in net profit, at share 1,206 billion against 1,208 billion in the same period of 2014, despite the sale of the activities in Latin America to Enel.

Narrowing it down to just the operations in Spain and Portugal net income recorded an increase of 62,7% on an annual basis, to 1,209 billion euros against 743 million. Ebitda also increased, +11,5% to 2,7 billion, thanks to the increase in energy prices with the recovery of consumption by consumers and industry. The group's debt fell to 5,09 billion from 5,42 billion at the end of 2014.

Enel also announced that the board of directors of Chilean subsidiaries Enersis, Endesa Chile and Chilectra have called their respective meetings for 18 December 2015 Extraordinary meetings. The meetings will serve to take stock of the corporate reorganization aimed at separating the electricity generation and distribution activities carried out in Chile from those developed in the other Latin American countries.
