Enel and Snam in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index

The two Italian giants have been included in the most important global stock exchange index for evaluating corporate social responsibility. For the former it is the ninth confirmation, for the latter the fourteenth.

Snam and Enel have been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, the most important global stock market index for assessing corporate social responsibility. For the former it is the ninth confirmation, for the latter the fourteenth. 

As far as Snam is concerned, the results are confirmed to be very positive: 82 points (runners-up, best performer 86 pts) with a 93 percentile. In particular, underlines the note issued by the company, the company stood out for its excellent performance in the environment area, with a score of 91 points (100 percentile).

Snam is also present in other of the most important global sustainability indices, including the FTSE4Good, the CDP, the various ECPI, MSCI, Stoxx Global, Vigeo and Ethibel indices, as well as Oekom and the United Nations Global Compact 100.

Speaking of Enel, the giant led by Francesco Starace recorded a particularly brilliant performance in the Environment category, with a score of 100/100 in Climate Strategy, Water-related Risks, Biodiversity and Environmental Reporting. The Group also obtained the maximum score in the segments Policy Influence, which measures transparency and the level of disclosure on advocacy activities, and Materiality, which refers to the company's ability to reconcile strategy with stakeholder expectations.

Launched in 1999, the DJSI is one of the main global indices that evaluate the financial performance of the world's leading companies in the field of sustainability. In addition to DJSI World, Enel is also included in other important global sustainability indices, such as the FTSE4Good, the Euronext Vigeo Eiris indices, the STOXX Global ESG Leaders and the Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index.
