Antonello Cammisecra leaves Enel after 24 years and a very long career in the leading energy company in Europe and in the world in renewables. The exit of Enel's historic manager will take place at the end of July and was somehow announced with the arrival of Gianni Vittorio Armani, former CEO of Iren, chosen by CEO Flavio Cattaneo in his place as global head of Enel networks. Armani has long worked in Terna, until he became CEO of Terna Rete Italia. From 2015 to 2018 he was chairman and chief executive officer of Anas and in 2021 he was appointed chief executive officer and general manager of Iren, a position he left last June. Cammisecra has been at the top of Enel in various roles: CEO of Enel Green Power between 2017 and 2020, he was then indicated as Head of grids by Francesco Starace in the last three years. This completes the design of the top team of the new management of Enel led by Cattaneo-Scaroni.

We have not followed established paths but we have been among those who have opened new ones”, the manager also underlined, retracing his years at Enel. “Our cause has always remained true to the idea of create a better world through the transformation of the way electricity is produced, distributed and used".

With the departure of Antonello Cammisecra, the new top team chosen by the managing director Flavio Cattaneo takes shape following the change decided by the government with Francesco Starace who led the energy giant for 9 years but has spent many more at the within the group, also at the head of Enel Green Power. Among the other managerial changes that have taken place so far with the arrival of Cattaneo, they stand out Stephen DeAngelis whom the CEO wanted as CFO in place of Alberto De Paoli, who was in turn appointed director of North America and Latin America (the head of the latter region, Maurizio Bezzeccheri, resigned on his way to retirement).
Francis Puntillo, coming from the Gianni & Origoni studio, has become the new head of legal and corporate affairs. Leonardo Bellodi, for a long time at Eni with Paolo Scaroni, is indicated for the role of secretary of the board of directors.
