Enel and the Saudi utility Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) have signed a framework agreement for cooperation in the distribution of electricity, a sector that will see the two companies work together to develop long-term sharing of strategic knowledge in the field of the latest net. The agreement was signed in Riyadh by Livio Gallo, Head of Infrastructure and Global Networks of Enel, and Ziyad M. Al-Shiha, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SEC. Enel communicated it.

Under the agreement, which has a duration of three years, but can be extended if both parties agree, Enel and the SEC will enhance the exchange of information, best practices and experiences in the electricity distribution sector. More specifically, the two companies will share best practices and benchmarks to bring the performance of distribution networks in areas such as operations, efficiency and security to best-in-class levels, also introducing a technological roadmap aimed at the digitization of distribution networks and improve energy efficiency at the service of customers. Enel and SEC will also evaluate further areas of collaboration in the electricity distribution sector.
