The Minister of Economic Development Federica Guidi has proposed the appointment as President of ENEA of the current extraordinary commissioner of the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, Federico Head. The proposal was sent to the presidents of the Senate and Chamber, Pietro Grasso and Laura Boldrini, in order to acquire the opinion of the competent parliamentary commissions.
Testa had been commissioner of ENEA since August 2014. After 7 years, the law on the green economy, last December, put an end to the receivership of the institution by establishing the new ENEA agency as a public law body aimed at research and technological innovation as well as the provision of advanced services to businesses, to the public administration and citizens in the fields of energy, the environment and sustainable economic development.
