The Endesa group, the Spanish electricity giant and controlled by the Italian Enel, has suffered a contraction in net profit for the year of 8% to 1,88 billion euros. A result penalized by the reforms of the Spanish electricity sector, as specified by the Iberian company itself, explaining that the reforms had a negative impact of 933 million euros on Ebitda, which fell by 4% to 6,72 billion euros.
The negative performance of the subsidiary Endesa also had repercussions on the stock market performance of the parent company Enel, which in the mid-morning Business Square loses almost half a point a 3,728 euros, after opening the session in positive territory.
