Enav closed the first half of 2022 with revenues Total consolidated at 412,1 million euros, up 9,9% on an annual basis. THE Costs operational recorded an increase of 5,6%, to 315,1 million euros, with a operating margin gross to 97 million euros, up 26,6% on a year-on-year basis. At the end of the period, the Enav group recorded a Net income of 27,7 million euros, more than double compared to the 13,5 million euros of the first half of 2021, following the recovery of air traffic.

In the first part of the year, the group recorded excellent economic and financial performance, confirming an almost total return to pre-pandemic normality, with a full recovery of all technical-operational activities. The group has achieved these results thanks to the recovery of managed air traffic, cost control and the consolidation of the reference regulatory and tariff framework".

The recovery of traffic in Italy

The first half of 2022 showed "a decisive growth in air traffic over Italy", especially in the second quarter, with the beginning of spring. "The significant recovery in traffic levels achieved compared to the first half of 2019, the last pre-pandemic reference year, marks a recovery of 89,8%", continues the note. THE flights over Italy, in the first half of 2022, grew by 158,7% compared to the same period last year, while at European level there was an average growth of 128,7%.
