The contest of ideas for the future of the drone world
The Enav group has launched the final stage of the#ENAVThinkingCup2022, the competition of ideas created to involve young people, startups, freelancers and companies in sharing models and solutions which, in this first edition, will compete to bring urban air mobility into the third dimension.
All the projects will be evaluated during the days of 23 and 24 September at the Enav Training Center in Forlì, the training center for air traffic controllers and strategic headquarters for the group.

Lopen innovation initiative it was presented today at the Enav Training Center by the president Francesca Isgrò and the managing director Paolo Simioni.
"The use of new technologies as well as the opening to the new generations also passes from the company's ability to include - declares the president of ENAV Francesca Isgrò. Comparison and contamination represent the foundations on which progress is built. Creating new forms of contact with realities close to us constitutes a new way of creating involvement for those who could be the future stakeholders of a completely changing sector such as that of drones.”
Secondo the managing director of Enav Paolo Simioni “investments in infrastructure and technology do not neglect but rather enhance those necessary in people, the central asset and face of the new ENAV digital path, increasingly a point of reference and driver of innovation. The selection of new ideas to enhance and implement services for the world of Advanced Air Mobility is a concrete example of how airspace management is evolving and how our Group focuses on innovation to guarantee a more sustainable and efficient future" .
With the Thinking Cup 2022, Enav aims to create new added value for the ecosystem in which the company operates by promoting collaboration with universities, startups and incubators. "Searching for innovative solutions to enable new development paths in the Advanced and Urban Air Mobility fields are central elements in which the ENAV group invests to translate everything that will fly in the sky of the future into sustainable mobility", reads the company's note.
The initiative includes an initial evaluation phase of the more than 20 projects presented and a live event where the participants will work organized in teams to develop ideas and create prototypes, solutions and presentations on topics defined by ENAV. The names of the winners will be decreed by a jury made up of professionals and innovators who will evaluate the projects deemed most worthy in terms of innovation, sustainability, business model and feasibility according to pre-defined criteria.
