Enav: contract signed with Maldives Airports Company for 500 thousand dollars for Velana international airport

Team Enavthrough the subsidiary IDS AirNav, a global player in aeronautical information management systems, has been awarded a contract with Maldives Airports Company (MACL) worth approx 500mila U.S. dollars. MACL is thus added to the customer portfolio, 130 worldwide.

The contract, explains a note, provides for the supply, installation and commissioning of the AMHS (Aeronautical Message Handling System) aeronautical message management system at theMale Velana International Airport. This is the main airport of the Maldivian archipelago through which 4,3 million passengers and 64 flights pass every year. In addition to the terminals for international and local flights, it also has a "Seaplane" terminal dedicated to seaplanes.

The AMHS is the latest generation technological platform for the exchange of aeronautical data between all the actors involved in flight operations: air navigation service providers, airport managers, armed forces and weather information providers.
