Enel dona 1 million euro to the Civil protection of Emilia-Romagna. The fundraising campaign promoted by the group among employees in Italy, in support of the Civil Protection committed alongside the population affected by the floods and landslides resulting from the extreme weather events that occurred in May 2023, was successfully concluded. The initiative, together with the contribution of Enel Heart, the non-profit organization of the energy multinational has made it possible to reach this sum which will be used to support specific interventions identified by the Regional Civil Protection for the reconstruction of the most damaged areas.
Bellodi (Enel Cuore): "Concrete help to the population"
"Through this initiative we wish to offer concrete help to the population of Emilia-Romagna, engaged in a complex reconstruction after the floods that seriously affected them - declared Leonardo Bellodi, president of Enel Cuore -. Thanks to the work and generosity of our colleagues at Enel, to which has been added the important contribution of Enel Cuore, we will give our support to the Civil Protection which is working hard to restore normality to the people, communities and territories most affected by the emergency".
Emilia-Romagna flood: the commitment of E-Distribuzione
To deal with the emergency has also taken the field E-Distribution, the Enel group company that manages the medium and low voltage electricity grids, which in a few days managed to re-supply around 55 users, making more than 170 generating sets available, rebuilding 4 primary and 300 secondary substations, as well as 100 km of medium voltage lines and 10 meters.
