A few hours before the American elections, Nouriel Roubini, the economist who became famous ten years ago for predicting the great global crisis in advance, speaks about it in Milan (Monday 7 November, 17pm, Leonardo's Casa degli Atellani-Vigne) outlining the possible international scenarios and the effects of the vote on the financial markets.
The event is promoted by the Global Thinking Foundation, set up in recent months on the initiative of Claudia Segre, a well-known private banker in the Milanese financial community, with the mission of promoting an aware culture of savings and financial education with particular attention to students of high schools and universities, to investors and savers.
In this regard, the Foundation will present, on the occasion of the event with Roubini, a Glossary of Financial Education "Words of economics and finance" which includes and explains over 300 items and which was also created with the help of a team of young graduates assisted by a pool of professionals and under the initiative and collaboration of the honorable Maurizio Bernardo, President of the VI Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies. The Glossary is aimed not only at high school and university students, but above all at families and new investors, to help them fully understand the more technical and complex aspects, helping to form a dialogue platform for widespread financial literacy.
Global Thinking Foundation is also a Supporting Participant of FEDUF, the Foundation for Financial Education and Savings of ABI, the Italian Banking Association, as well as a Partner of Eraclito 2000, in Pisa, and has provided some Masters in "Communication, Business, Banks ed Assicurazioni”, now in its 25th edition.
Again with the intention of identifying talents in their growth path, the GLT Foundation has funded several scholarships for the benefit of high school students who won the MIUR Olympics for the "Fuoriclasse della Scuola" Award as part of the memorandum of understanding between MIUR and Feduf, which will see the three-day campus and the final award ceremony take place in Turin from 17 to 19 November with the Savings Museum.
Lastly, Global Thinking Foundation is a member of the Women's Forum for the Economy & Society, the most important women's network dedicated to socio-economic issues from a gender perspective and organizer and promoter of the Women's Forum Global Network. The Foundation recently participated in the IMF meetings in Washington and is estimated among the best CSOs (Civil Society Organizations) emerging in the sector at European level, closely.
